I’m curious by nature. I like a new road, a good conversation, a story that makes me think, and the feeling of not quite knowing what’s around the next corner.

I’ve never been very good at staying in one place—or being just one thing.

I’ve taken a few unexpected turns in life, reinvented myself along the way, and learned that sometimes the best direction isn’t the one you planned. It’s the one that feels right.

Travel became one of the ways I found my way back to myself. It gives me space to slow down, pay attention, connect with people and nature, and see things from a different perspective. Whether I’m wandering a quiet beach in Costa Rica, exploring a new city, watching the world drift by from a river cruise deck, or simply discovering something close to home, I’m drawn to experiences that feel meaningful—not just places to check off a list.

I’m also learning to trust my inner compass a little more.

To listen to that quiet voice, follow my curiosity, and leave room for life to unfold rather than always trying to figure it all out.

And then there are books.

I’ve always loved the way a good story can transport you somewhere without ever leaving your chair. A thriller that keeps me up too late, a memoir that lingers, or a novel that makes me want to book a flight—books are another way I wander.

That’s what Travel with Mandi is really about: travel, books, life, and the stories we collect along the way.

The places we go matter. But I think it’s what happens to us along the way that matters even more.

Come wander with me.
